Use: access to workplace from below - ascent on a fixed rope  (art. 27928/27929)

1. Both the ascent rope and the fall arrester rope must be previously secured to the anchor points at height
2. Connect the fall arrester device to the breast or back harness ring
3. Connect the handle with the ascent bracket and the descender to the ascent/descent rope. In this phase the descender acts as a blocker during the repositioning of the handle
4. To descend, simply release the handle with the ascent bracket connected and activate the descender

The current regulations provide that in every construction site there is the presence of a rescue kit for rappelling in order to provide immediate assistance in case of accidental falls.
To ensure speed and correctness in the rescue intervention, correct training in the use of this device is essential.
The training of the rescue teams members or workers designated for this role is carried out during the mandatory training courses.

There are two types of rescue kit:

  • rappelling
  • rappelling/retrieval kit

1. Connect the descender connector present in the kit to a higher anchor point than the injured person position (1)
2. Tension the rappelling rope as much as possible in order to avoid further blows to the injured person during the subsequent release phase (2)
3. Release the injured person from the intervened fall arrest system (3), for example by cutting it with the appropriate scissors provided
4. Using the descender (4) positioned on the top of the rescue kit, lower the injured person to the ground
