WR
Waterproof safety shoes with the WR (Water Resistant) requirement, compliant with EN ISO 20345, guarantee complete water resistance of the footwear thanks to an upper, seams and joints tested to prevent water from entering from the outside. The certification test involves partial immersion of the footwear in a water bath after introducing compressed air into it: the absence of emerging bubbles certifies the watertightness of the entire structure. Unlike the WRU requirement, which only concerns the upper during flexion, the WR designation certifies the waterproofness of the entire shoe even in static immersion conditions. WR certified safety shoes are ideal for outdoor work in adverse weather conditions, construction sites in the presence of water, agriculture, water network maintenance, professional fishing and all environments where the foot is exposed to direct and prolonged contact with water.
