Silver 32 noise-cancelling ear muffs offer extremely high noise attenuation with an SNR of 33 db, making them ideal for noisy environments. The robust, light-weight ABS shells and the comfortable contoured plastic headband, which can be folded down for space-saving storage, make the work earphones extremely practical and comfortable. The soft padding of the headband also improves grip and comfort during use.
Silver 32 earmuffs comply with the EN 352-1:2020 standard for hearing protection.

Ear protection
How to choose
Ear protection devices are regulated by EC EN 352 standard and aim to protect the hearing of the user. Prolonged exposure over time to noise sources above the allowed threshold can cause irreversible injuries.
Ear protection is extremely important because the injuries caused to the hearing apparatus are irreversible: damaged hearing cells cannot be regenerated. Daily or even temporary exposure to noise sources above a threshold of 80 dB can cause considerable loss of hearing. It is essential to ensure continuous use of ear protection in noisy environments to benefit from the advantages offered by the PPE. Temporary or partial use of the PPE does not guarantee protection and introduces the risk of a potential permanent loss of hearing.
The European Directive obliges firms to provide sound protection PPE to workers if the noise in the workplace exceeds the threshold of 80 dB. The use of ear protection is, nevertheless, highly recommended even for noise below such levels.
To guarantee safety and comfort to the person, the noise must be reduced to the recommended level, it must not be higher but not even lower as an excessive reduction in the perception of the surrounding environment can be dangerous and the operator could be exposed to risks.
SNR: single attenuation number (noise attenuation value expressed in dB). The higher the SNR value (xxdB), the higher the attenuation of the earmuffs.
Risk
The legend classifies the degree of risk the user incurs (e.g. serious risk) by exposing himself to the intensity of noise expressed in decibels (e.g. 90-100 dB), describes the perception of sound (e.g. fastidious) and associates it with a possible source that causes it (e.g. excavator or construction machinery).
